With its rotating exhibitions, educational programs, and stunning architecture, GRAM provides an enriching and inspiring experience for art enthusiasts of all levels. GRAM's history dates back to 1910 when it was founded as the Grand Rapids Art Association. Over the years, the museum has grown significantly, both in terms of its collection and its physical space. The current building, designed by Kulapat Yantrasast of wHY Architecture, opened in 2007 and is a striking example of modern architecture. The museum's permanent collection includes works by renowned artists such as Andy Warhol, Alexander Calder, and Helen Frankenthaler, as well as a significant collection of 19th- and 20th-century American and European paintings and sculptures. The museum offers guided tours, lectures, workshops, and family activities throughout the year. Be sure to check out the museum's calendar for special events and performances. GRAM also features a museum store where you can find unique art-related gifts and souvenirs.
